A 500W maritime power supply with seamless AC-to-DC handover — engineered to keep critical systems powered, in any condition.
The LT-2500 is a 500W AC/DC power supply, developed and manufactured by Lars Thrane and certified for the maritime market to CE Mark / IEC 60945, with DNV approval. It delivers full power without forced cooling — no fans, nothing to fail — making it a clean, reliable choice for the demanding environment at sea.
Designed as a primary power supply for maritime installations, including GMDSS, the LT-2500 connects both an AC and a DC input source so power is maintained at all times. If the AC source disappears, the supply switches over to the DC (battery) source seamlessly — keeping critical communications and safety equipment running without interruption. Status LEDs show AC input and DC output at a glance, an On/Off button controls the AC source, and a discrete alarm output signals loss of AC input.
The LT-2500 accepts a wide input range — 115–240 VAC (47–63 Hz) plus 24 VDC battery — and delivers a 28 VDC output of up to 18 A across two DC outputs. Built-in fuse, short-circuit, overload, and thermal-overload protection guard the installation, while operation across -20°C to +55°C ensures dependable performance in tough conditions.
Installation is straightforward: remove the protective cover via two screws, then mount the unit with four corner screws to a solid surface. The design accommodates the large cross-section AC and DC wiring commonly used on vessels. More than 40 years of engineering experience are built into every unit.
A full 500W of maritime power with no fans and no forced cooling — fewer moving parts, less to maintain, and quiet, reliable operation in the harsh conditions at sea.
Connect both AC and DC input sources and the LT-2500 maintains power at all times. If the AC source drops, it switches to the DC battery source seamlessly — ideal for GMDSS and other critical loads.
CE Mark / IEC 60945 maritime approval and DNV certification — built and approved for professional maritime installations.
Fuse protection on both AC and DC inputs, plus short-circuit, overload, and thermal-overload protection — safeguarding the power supply and everything connected to it.
LED indicators for AC input and DC output, an AC On/Off button, and a discrete alarm output that signals loss of the AC input source.
Designed to handle the large cross-section AC and DC cabling commonly found on vessels, with simple four-screw mounting to any solid surface.
