A compact, robust Certus® 100 satellite communications system delivering 100% global voice and data — built for maritime and land mobile use alike.
The LT-4100 is a maritime satellite communications system built on the Iridium Certus® 100 service. Engineered for deep-sea vessels, fishing fleets, and workboats — and equally suited to leisure craft — it delivers reliable global connectivity while meeting all international standards and certification requirements for maritime satellite equipment. A LandMobile variant, the LT-4100L, brings the same capability to vehicles and remote installations ashore.
Designed to serve as a vessel’s primary communications hub, the LT-4100 provides 100% global coverage through the Iridium® network. The system combines a control unit, antenna unit, handset, and cradle — linked by a single coaxial cable that allows up to 500 metres of separation. This flexible design ensures the antenna can always be placed in the optimal position, with a clear view of the sky.
With two high-quality voice channels and IP data of 22 kbps up / 88 kbps down, the LT-4100 keeps ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore communication straightforward and dependable. Built to endure the harsh realities of maritime life, it operates reliably from –40°C to +55°C, ensuring performance in even the toughest conditions.
Supplied with all essential components, it offers multiple mounting options — bracket or flush for the control unit, and 1.5″ or 2.0″ pole mounts for the antenna. Once installed, the large 4.3″ TFT display provides clear day-and-night visibility, while the intuitive interface gives full control at a glance. For service and maintenance, the integrated webserver makes configuration and updates simple and efficient.
A single coaxial cable connects the control unit with the antenna unit. Using standard coaxial cable, up to 500 m of separation can be achieved — giving complete freedom to mount the antenna in the best possible location.
Two voice calls can be active simultaneously when run on different voice lines. The system can be configured to use one or two voice lines, each set up to cover multiple phones.
Available as the LT-4100 (Maritime) and LT-4100L (LandMobile) — the same proven platform, ready for vessels at sea or vehicles and fixed installations ashore.
Supports external SIP PABX and SIP handsets — configure up to 8 — plus POTS phones through an Analogue Telephone Adaptor (ATA), fitting the way your crew already communicates.
Built-in IP data reaches 22 kbps (up) and 88 kbps (down), giving easy access to a stable data connection over 100% global Iridium coverage. Data can be set to Always On or Manual Start/Stop for ease of use.
A built-in firewall with user authentication, port forwarding, and remote access keeps the system secure, while the built-in webserver makes configuration and maintenance simple.
